TUDelft lezing: SolarStratos, Mission “To the Edge of Space” op 19 oktober in Delft

TU Delft and the Embassy of Switzerland in the Netherlands are very pleased to invite you to meet SolarStratos, the team that built a solar powered 2-seater aircraft that will fly into the stratosphere.

When: 19 October 2017, 19.30 to 22.00 hrs

Where: Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, TU Delft 

In May 2012 the largest solar boat in the world, PlanetSolar, completed a 584 day trip round the world. The initiator of that project, Raphaël Domjan, has now built a solar powered aircraft which he intends to fly into the stratosphere: Mission SolarStratos. His goal? To show the potential of sustainable energy in aviation. A goal the faculty of Aerospace Engineering at TU Delft full-heartedly supports.
